What is 6KA Miniature Circuit Breaker?
A mechanical switching device capable of making, carrying, and breaking normal circuit currents automatically or manually, and automatically breaking fault currents (such as during overloads or short circuits) under specified conditions. It operates via coil and bimetal mechanisms, responding to excessive magnetic force and high temperature, respectively.
Protection Mechanisms:
The 6KA Miniature Circuit Breaker is designed based on a dual protection mechanism:
Overload Protection (Thermal Tripping): Overload protection is achieved through the bending of a bimetallic strip when heated. When the current exceeds the rated value for an extended period, heat accumulation in the bimetal causes deformation, triggering the tripping mechanism.
